Week 6 The University of Kansas: Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel

Its sad for the Wiscandians to say, but our time at KU is coming to an end. This week was full of work towards our special event.   For those of you who haven’t been keeping up, we are planning an Amazon jungle themed dinner for the 24th. This week we finally printed off our advertisements (posters and table tents), we’d love to show you but it is top secret. This next week will be full of time cracking down on decorations and finishing up our last projects here at KU Dining so make sure to stay posted on what’s going on.  At the end of the week we have to present all that we have done here at KU and it might go a little something like this...

On top of our week, we had the privlege of shadowing Kim Nixon, the manager of Impromptu Cafe. The Cafe has done very well considering how new it is and is run by top tier chefs that work at KU.  Here is a link to their website to check it out...It’s pretty cool how it got its name as well, it was all basically done in a very limited amount of time and thought right on the spot hence
“Impromptu”

Kevin also got to shadow Bill, the 6am supervisor, while Jackson got his beauty sleep and worked at 11 shadowing Brandon, the afternoon supervisor. The Wiscandians can use all of the experience we can get in order to supervise our special event dinner the 24th.

Until next week..... The Wiscandians are signing off
